What is an Enrolled Agent?
Edgar is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a tax professional licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. EAs are authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS and, like attorneys and CPAs, hold unlimited practice rights. That includes representing taxpayers in federal tax audits, collection matters, and appeals, regardless of where the client lives in the United States.
This IRS credential distinguishes enrolled agents from tax preparers who have limited representation rights.
